Oxygen Medical Aid
Oxygen is the fourth largest medical aid in South Africa and has the benefit of being backed by Old Mutual. It has approximately 230,000 lives covered with an excellent Global Credit Rating of A+. They are one of only a few schemes that combine traditional day-to-day cover with an overriding medical savings account, that is available should any provider benefit be exhausted. On all of the options we market, a premium is only payable for one child, so it is excellent value for large families.
All benefits are pro-rated depending on when in the year one joins the scheme.
A member has the option of changing their plan without medical underwriting once per year effective from the 1st of January the followithg year.
This is one of very few medical aid options that cover hospital and related bills at 3 x NRPL rate (Private rate) with no annual limit. It also includes cover for chronic medication and emergency evacuation to a hospital.
