The Essential Delta Saver Hospital Plan provides unlimited private hospital cover at any Delta Network Hospital. Delta Saver provides complete cover for approved doctors and specialists. Doctors not on Discovery payment arrangement are covered up to the full Discovery Health Rate (DHR). Day-to-day expenses are deducted from the Delta Saver plan savings account. There is comprehensive medical aid cover for cancer, chronic disease, and a variety maternity benefits. The Severe Dental and Oral Surgery Benefit covers a specific list of operations and requires no upfront payment, use of a Delta Network hospital is required.
Does Essential Delta Saver cover dental surgery?
Essential Delta Saver pays for basic dental treatment in the dentist’s or dental specialist’s rooms. Funds are used from the day-to-day Medical Savings Account at 100% of the Discovery Health Rate. If the member does do not have any day-to-day savings, out of pocket payment will be needed. There is a Basic Dental Trauma Benefit for sudden and unexpected injuries to the teeth and mouth, annual limit of R65,150 per person. The Severe Dental And Oral Surgery Benefit covers a defined list of procedures, with no upfront payment when a Delta Network Hospital is used.
