What is the Medihelp MedPrime hospital plan?
Medihelp MedPrime provides comprehensive medical aid that includes unlimited private hospital admission. MedPrime limited day-to-day cover offers a 10% savings account for daily medical expenses and access to a network of healthcare providers. MedPrime provides 24 hour medical emergency assistance, additional core benefits, wellness programs, in and out-of-hospital treatments and procedures. T&C’s apply.
Does the Medihelp MedPrime offer cancer treatment?
MediPrime offers cover for both PMB (Prescribed Minimum Benefit,) and non-PMB cancer treatment. PMB oncology cover includes hospitalisation and treatment for cancer. Non-PMB oncology cover is offered for cancer treatment that does not qualify for PMB. Cancer medication is eligible for 100% cover, and is charged at the Medihelp Oncology Reference Price (MORP).
What is the difference between the MedPrime and MedPrime Elect plans?
MedPrime members receive 100% cover at any private hospital or certain day treatments. While MedPrime Elect members need to use MedPrime Network hospitals for treatment to avoid a 35% co-payment. T&C’s apply.
